I, too, went through what you are going through last year and am glad to say I have come out the other side ok. It also gave me lots of time to catch up on classic films. I took advantage of the reflective mood I was in to watch a few that did not have happy endings. I can't say that I am closer to god as a result but I can say that I appreciate what I have and life and friends and family a bit more. It's been a real "stop and smell the roses" revival.
